NEW NORTH HILL TRAFFIC PATTERN CAUSES SOME CONFUSION
Since the opening of the new drive-thru lane at the Akron branch last month there seems to be some confusion
as to the proper entrance to the drive-thru stations. Upon entering the driveway from North Main St.,
please observe the red sign and bear to the RIGHT which will take you around the perimiter of the parking lot.
Once around you will see a sign stating Stop here for the next available teller.
Do not turn left into the parking lot to reach the drive-thru windows. If you do you may be cutting in front
of a member already waiting and you will be instructed to return to the end of the line. We want to make access
to our new drive thru stations convenient for all our members.. Please be patient and observe the signs posted
so that everyone can make their transactions as quickly as possible.
RELAY EVENTS
The 2008 Relay for Life isn't far off. Between now and the June 13-14 relay we have several fun events coming up.
On Saturday, May 18 from 9am to 1pm we will be having a car wash at our Akron Branch.
Get your car squeeky clean and help out a great cause at the same time! Donations only.
Rain Date: Saturday, May 31.
Be sure to enter our special raffle! We have several exciting prizes such as a Nintendo Wii game system, an evening watching
the Akron Areos in a private loge, great gift baskets and much more. Raffle tickets are $1.00 each,

CHECKING ACCOUNT REMINDER
Per REGULATION E, a Federal regulation governing all deposit and transaction accounts, automatic transfers from savings to checking are limited to six per month.
However, you can call us to transfer funds as many times as you like with no charge.
ATTENTION: MEMBERS
Some members have received emails from the National Credit Union Administration
(NCUA) and other organizations asking them to verify personal and account information.
Please do not reply to these emails. Delete them. NEVER share personal information.
It has also come to our attention that some people have received emails from
"service@akrontcu.com" and/or "security@akrontcu.com." These email accounts are
NOT valid. Do NOT respond to them. If we need updated information from you, we
will contact you directly by phone or regular mail. Treat all
unsolicited emails requesting financial or personal information as fraudulent.
*** New Scam Alert ***
Please be aware of a new email scam aimed at credit union members. The scam emails feature a subject line of
"Get your $50.00 Reward Survey with Credit Union National Association" and carry the America's Credit Unions logo.
The message begins with "Dear National Credit Union Administration Customer" and asks recipients
to answer five survey questions in exchange for a $50 credit to their account. Recipients are
instructed to click on a link and submit their account information supposedly in order for the
money to be deposited. However, they are now a victim of a phishing scam and their personal
account information is at risk for fraud and identity theft. Towpath Credit Union will NEVER ask for personal
information via email. This is completely separate from the member survey that was sent with the June statements.
DELETE ANY MESSAGES YOU RECEIVE THAT ASK FOR ANY ACCOUNT INFORMATION.
